Echocardiogram testing and monitoring requirements with CAMZYOS

Echocardiograms (also known as ‘echos’) are ultrasound tests that allow your doctor to see how your heart is responding to CAMZYOS treatment, to ensure you are on the optimal dose, and to monitor that your heart is beating with sufficient force.

Based on your results, your doctor may increase, decrease, or keep you on the same dose of CAMZYOS to improve your response or to reduce side effects. They may also temporarily pause or discontinue your treatment with CAMZYOS.

You will need to receive regular echocardiograms, as instructed and scheduled by your healthcare team.

How often do I need to have echocardiograms?

The first echocardiogram will be done before you start treatment, and then again during follow-up visits at Week 4, 8 and 12 to assess your response to CAMZYOS. Routine echocardiograms will then be done every 12 weeks.

If your doctor changes your dose of CAMZYOS at any point, an echocardiogram will be done 4 weeks afterwards to make sure you are receiving a correct dose.

Echocardiograms may also be needed:

  • 4 weeks after a change in the dose of CAMZYOS
  • After a break in treatment (as directed by your healthcare team)

Your healthcare team will let you know if these echocardiograms are required and how regularly you need them

It is very important to keep these echocardiogram appointments because your doctor needs to check the effect of CAMZYOS on your heart. Your treatment dose may need to be adjusted to improve your response or to reduce side effects
